HYDERABAD: BJP MP Etela Rajender Warns Officials to Follow Legal Protocols
During an MLC election campaign in Warangal district on Wednesday, Malkajgiri MP and senior Telangana BJP MP Etela Rajender issued a strong warning to IAS and IPS officers. He urged them to act strictly within the framework of the law rather than blindly following directives that could violate established regulations. He cautioned that those who failed to do so might face consequences similar to those experienced by officials like Srilakshmi.
Rajender revealed that the party maintains an “Orange Book,” where it documents the actions of various officials. He stated, “We are noting down everyone’s names in that book and will expose them with evidence when the time comes.” Stressing that no one is above the law, he criticised officials who, in his view, act arbitrarily, warning that such behaviour would not go unchecked.
Criticism of Government Policies
Discussing the ongoing MLC campaign, Rajender expressed confidence, citing significant public support. He accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) of weakening the education system and alleged that the Congress party was following a similar path. He predicted that Congress would meet the same electoral fate as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Additionally, Rajender criticised the government for failing to provide adequate compensation to land evacuees. He stated that parliamentary law mandates compensation at three times the market rate, but the government has neglected this requirement. He asserted that the public would hold the Congress accountable in the upcoming elections.
