MLC Kavitha backs outsourcing workers’ protest over unfulfilled Congress promise

Hyderabad: MLC and BRS leader Kavitha on Saturday extended full support to Telangana outsourcing employees staging a protest in Hyderabad, demanding the Congress government fulfil its pre-poll promise to abolish the agency system and establish a dedicated corporation.

With 18 months passed since the Congress assumed power, protestors under the Telangana Outsourcing Employees JAC assembled at Indira Park for a ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ protest, citing government inaction.

Kavitha, posting on social media platform X, urged the government to honour its pledge by forming a special corporation for outsourcing employees and ensuring timely monthly salaries. She accused the current administration of apathy, contrasting it with the previous BRS government which, she claimed, had improved wages and extended PRC benefits to outsourced workers.

She demanded immediate resolution of the workers’ demands, calling it shameful that the government had failed to act even after a year and a half in office.
