HYDERABAD, February 2: Jadcherla MLA Anirudh Reddy has addressed recent reports suggesting that Congress MLAs held a clandestine meeting, clarifying that while a meeting did occur, it was neither secretive nor conspiratorial. Speaking to media representatives on Sunday, Reddy stated, “It is true that we, the MLAs, met. However, there was nothing secretive about it. We convened to discuss the development of our constituencies. What’s wrong if MLAs come together to talk about development?”
Reddy dismissed allegations that he had submitted any files to the Revenue Minister, asserting, “I did not present any file to the Revenue Minister. As for what file it is, Nagar Kurnool MP Mallu Ravi should clarify.”
He further expressed his intent to discuss various matters with the party high command, stating, “There is much to convey to the leadership. I will speak about all issues and provide all details after meeting the State Party In-Charge, Deepa Das Munshi.” Reddy also warned against misrepresenting his character, emphasizing, “If my character is wrongly portrayed, I will not remain silent. I will present all evidence to the seniors.”
This clarification comes amid political speculation following reports of a secret meeting among Congress MLAs, which had become a hot topic in Telangana’s political circles. Reddy’s statements aim to dispel rumours and affirm the transparency of the gathering.
