Ministers review Warangal development works, set June 2 deadline

Hyderabad: Telangana ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Konda Surekha reviewed Warangal development works and ordered officials to complete key projects before June 2.

The ministers held a review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday to assess development activities in the Warangal district.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is taking special measures for the comprehensive development of Warangal city.

The ministers asked officials to accelerate development works and implement government decisions without delay.

They said the government aims to develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad.

The ministers instructed officials to complete key projects in the undivided Warangal district before June 2.

They said the Chief Minister will inaugurate several projects on that day.

The ministers also reviewed development works at Bhadrakali Temple and instructed officials to construct stone pathways in the temple Mada streets.

Warangal development: Hospital, roads and housing works discussed

The ministers asked officials to speed up land acquisition related to the Bhadrakali Lake head regulator inlet and outlet works.

They reviewed the Warangal Super Speciality Hospital project and directed officials to open the hospital by June.

Officials must complete infrastructure works, procure medical equipment and recruit medical staff.

The ministers also reviewed land acquisition for the Inner Ring Road and Outer Ring Road projects.

They instructed officials to speed up land acquisition for the Young India Integrated Residential School in Warangal West constituency.

The ministers also reviewed the ₹5,257 crore underground drainage project planned for Warangal city.

They ordered officials to complete the tender process immediately and start works next month.

The ministers instructed officials to identify beneficiaries and allot pending two-bedroom houses before the end of this month.

They said several 2BHK colonies lack basic amenities such as electricity, drainage, drinking water and roads.

The ministers directed officials to provide these facilities and submit budget proposals for funds.

MLAs Kadiyam Srihari, Revuri Prakash Reddy, Nagaraju and Nayani Rajender Reddy attended the meeting.

MLC Basavaraju Sarayya and Gundu Sudharani also attended.

Collectors of Warangal and Hanamkonda and other officials participated in the review.
