Ministers invite Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to Medaram Maha Jatara

Hyderabad: Ministers Seethakka and Konda Surekha, along with priests of the Sammakka Saralamma temple, met Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Monday at Lok Bhavan. During the meeting, the ministers invited Governor to the Medaram Maha Jatara.

They urged the Governor to participate in the tribal fair, considered the largest of its kind in South India. The Ministers also briefed him on ongoing development works at the temple site and highlighted the festival’s cultural and spiritual significance. Their presentation emphasized why it’s important that ministers invite Governor Medaram formally.

Priests follow temple tradition during invitation

Temple Executive Officer Veeraswamy and the priests extended the invitation in keeping with temple customs. The formal invite included traditional offerings and rituals, symbolizing the sacredness of the occasion. In such contexts, it is customary that to ensure the inclusion of dignitaries.

The Medaram Maha Jatara will be held from January 28 to 31 in Mulugu district.
