SURYAPET: Telangana Minister Seethakka strongly criticized BJP leader Bandi Sanjay, questioning why the central government failed to provide fine rice (sanna biyyam) in BJP-ruled states. She accused the BJP of being a “brand ambassador of corruption” and claimed that the party was looting the wealth of the poor to benefit the rich.
Seethakka alleged that while Telangana contributes one rupee in taxes to the central government, only 48 paise are returned to the state. She challenged Bandi Sanjay to explain why fine rice was not provided in BJP-ruled states if the party was genuinely concerned about the welfare of the poor.
She further questioned whether Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should place his photos on central government schemes when Telangana receives less than half of what it contributes in taxes.
The minister’s remarks reflect growing tensions between the state and central governments over financial allocations and welfare schemes.
