Hyderabad, January 25: Tribal Welfare Minister D Seethakka has criticised Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders for allegedly disseminating false information regarding government welfare schemes.
Speaking to the media in Warangal, she accused BRS MLAs and leaders of spreading blatant lies about these programmes, causing unnecessary concern among beneficiaries. She emphasised that such actions are inappropriate for individuals holding responsible positions. The minister assured that every beneficiary in the state would receive the benefits of government schemes and urged the public not to be misled by BRS’s tactics. She also highlighted that during its decade-long tenure, the BRS government failed to issue new ration cards and neglected landless agricultural labourers, while providing ‘Rythu Bandhu’ assistance to affluent individuals. In contrast, she noted that the current Congress government is focusing on the welfare of the underprivileged by implementing new ration cards, Indiramma houses, Rythu Bharosa, and Indiramma Aathmeeya Bharosa schemes.
Seethakka suggested that the BRS leaders’ actions stem from dissatisfaction with the Congress government’s fulfilment of its electoral promises. Minister Seethakka called on the public to remain vigilant and not fall into the trap of BRS’s misleading activities.
