Hyderabad: A mini lorry overturns near Shivaramapalli on Wednesday morning after a tyre burst, triggering brief traffic disruption on the Attapur route on the city outskirts.
The mini lorry was travelling from Aramghar towards Attapur with a load of bricks. When it reached PVNR Expressway pillar number 289 at Shivaramapalli, one tyre burst suddenly. The driver lost control and the mini lorry toppled onto the road.
The driver suffered minor injuries. No other vehicles came close to the spot at the time. Police said the empty stretch behind the mini lorry helped prevent a major accident.
Mini lorry accident disrupts traffic near PVNR Expressway
Teams from Rajendranagar Police rushed to the location after receiving information. With support from a JCB operated by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, officials cleared bricks scattered across the road.
The overturned mini lorry blocked part of the carriageway and slowed traffic for some time. Police shifted the vehicle aside and restored normal traffic movement.
Officers said they were checking the cause of the tyre burst and confirmed that the incident caused no further damage.
