Medical negligence exposed in Narasaraopet after blade found inside woman’s abdomen

Hyderabad: A serious instance of medical negligence surfaced in Narasaraopet after a woman continued to suffer sharp abdominal pain even after undergoing surgery at a private hospital. She had been admitted with intense stomach pain. Doctors operated on her; however, her condition grew worse each day. Because the pain became unbearable, her family shifted her to another hospital for more detailed tests.

During comprehensive scanning, doctors at the second facility detected a piece of a surgical blade inside the operated area. They concluded that this lodged object caused her persistent and worsening pain. Consequently, her relatives expressed deep anger and condemned the negligence. They also questioned how a procedure intended to treat her symptoms resulted in such a grave error.

Public anger grows as medical negligence sparks protests

The woman’s family and relatives staged a protest outside the private hospital soon after the discovery. They demanded strict action against the responsible doctors and pressed authorities to ensure immediate and improved treatment for the patient. Moreover, they urged the government to secure justice for the family. As the incident gained attention, more groups voiced concern over the continuing pattern of medical negligence. The family said they are awaiting an official response from district authorities.
