Medchal police crack murder, robbery cases; all accused nabbed

Hyderabad: Medchal Zone police have cracked two major cases — a murder and a daylight robbery — in quick succession, arresting all the accused and recovering key evidence.

In the first case, Suraram police solved the murder of 25-year-old cab driver Syed Danish, who was killed near Bathukamma Banda late on May 29. Danish had invited two acquaintances, Mohammed Bilal (32) and Mohammed Aslam (28), both from Jeedimetla and Jagathgirigutta, for a drinking session near Kattamaisamma Temple. But tensions boiled over, and Bilal and Aslam allegedly turned on Danish, attacking him with a Zambia knife and a cement stone. He died on the spot. Acting on their confessions, police recovered the murder weapon and bloodstained clothes.

In the second case, Pet-Basheerabad police nabbed Neerudi Satish (32) from Siddipet District and Golconda Pramod Kumar (32) from Medchal for a daylight robbery at Devarayamjal Village, Shamirpet Mandal, on May 30. Posing as prospective tenants, the suspects allegedly sweet-talked their way inside a house, locked the door behind them, and attacked the victim. They made off with a gold chain and an earring weighing about 3.25 tulas, leaving the victim injured. Officers later recovered a 30-gram gold chain, a TVS Scooty, and a Samsung A16 mobile phone.

Pramod Kumar was already on the radar for his involvement in a previous case at Gajwel Police Station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Medchal Zone) N. Koti Reddy commended the swift efforts of his teams and pledged strict action to ensure justice.
