Hyderabad: A man was strangled to death by his wife and father-in-law in Malkapur village, Tandoor mandal, Vikarabad district, in a case that has triggered local outrage. The victim, identified as Reddypalli Venkatesh (34), was allegedly killed at home by his wife Jayashree and her father, Pandari.
According to police, Venkatesh had a history of physically and mentally harassing Jayashree, frequently accusing her of infidelity. Investigators said the prolonged abuse drove her to conspire with her father to kill him.
On the day of the murder, the duo allegedly strangled Venkatesh and reinforced the act by tightly wrapping wire around his neck. Police responded to the scene immediately after receiving a tip-off, registered a case, and arrested the accused within 24 hours.
Both suspects were remanded to custody. The incident has stirred tension in the village. Investigation is ongoing.
