Man dies by suicide at Ghatkesar after marriage proposals fail

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man died by suicide at Ghatkesar railway station on Tuesday, reportedly distressed over repeated failures in marriage proposals. The incident took place near the Madhav Reddy flyover within Ghatkesar railway limits.

According to railway police, the deceased, identified as Bora Naresh Goud, hailed from Athmakur in Warangal district. He was working at a clothing store in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Police said Naresh had been facing disappointment for four years as his family’s efforts to find him a match were unsuccessful.

On Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m., Naresh reportedly jumped in front of the Golkonda Express train near Ghatkesar. Acting on information from the train pilot, railway police reached the scene and identified the body using his mobile phone. They informed his family and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.

Police believe Naresh took the extreme step due to depression over his marriage prospects. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
