Hyderabad: A 48-year-old mason died on Wednesday evening after suffering severe injuries from losing control of his bike near Rudraram. The victim was undergoing treatment at RVM Hospital when he succumbed to his injuries, Sub-Inspector Shivanandam said.
Police identified the deceased as Yellarapu Raju, a resident of Chinna Shankarampet mandal headquarters. He worked as a daily-wage mason to support his livelihood. According to the SI, Raju and his wife Bhagya had recently quarrelled over domestic matters. Following the dispute, Bhagya had gone to stay at her parental home.
On Tuesday afternoon, Raju completed his daily labour work and dropped off workers at Chandampet village. He was returning to Shankarampet on his motorcycle when the accident occurred.
While travelling near the Peddamma temple on the outskirts of Rudraram, Raju reportedly lost control of his motorcycle. He fell onto the road and suffered serious injuries.
Losing control of his bike led to fatal injuries
After receiving information about the accident, people shifted Raju to a private hospital in Gavvalapally for treatment. However, his injuries required advanced medical care. He was subsequently transferred to RVM Hospital for further treatment. Despite receiving medical attention, Raju died at the hospital on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Bhagya told police that Yellaram Durgamani, her sister-in-law, had informed her about Raju’s death over the phone. SI Shivanandam said authorities shifted the body to Ramayampet Hospital for the required inquest proceedings.
The officer confirmed that Raju had suffered severe injuries after losing control of his bike while returning from Chandampet.
