Mahesh Kumar Goud defends HILTP rollout, hits out at BRS

Hyderabad: TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud defended the HILTP rollout and accused the BRS of stirring sentiment for political advantage. He addressed the fourth death anniversary meeting of former united Andhra Pradesh chief minister K. Roshaiah at Ravindra Bharathi. During the programme, he said Roshaiah and singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam belonged to all regions. He then asked why placing Balasubrahmanyam’s statue inside Ravindra Bharathi should invite objections.

He argued that the BRS pushed a false narrative to mislead people. Moreover, he said the chief minister’s earlier remarks on gods carried a simple meaning. He added that political distortion of those remarks served no purpose. He also accused Union minister Kishan Reddy of acting only to support the BRS. According to him, the party targeted the Congress government on every issue and labelled all decisions as corrupt.

TPCC chief cites benefits of HILTP rollout

Goud said the HILTP rollout aimed to make land prices accessible to ordinary families. He noted that the policy could lower pollution levels and support Hyderabad’s growth as a cleaner city. Because of these goals, he dismissed criticism from BRS leaders as baseless. He said the remarks lacked credibility and ignored the policy’s long-term benefits.
