Hyderabad: A man brutally killed his wife with an axe and then took his own life. The couple had two small children. The incident happened in the Bokkalonipalli village of the Mahbubnagar district.
Rajesh (35) and wife Saritha (30) had been said to be suffering from marital trouble for quite some time. Police said that Rajesh had become suspicious of his wife’s activities and constantly used to fight with her.
On Thursday, the couple had come home after going for a wedding. There was another fight at night, and, in a rage of anger, Rajesh assaulted Saritha with an axe within their home. She died on the spot in a pool of blood.
Shocked by what he had done, Rajesh fled the house and later died by suicide by throwing himself under a train.
Local authorities say the couple’s two young children are now left without parents. Further investigation is underway.
