Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested an Agriculture Extension Officer from Mahabubabad district for accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. The officer demanded the amount to process a farmer’s Rythu Bheema compensation file.
The accused, identified as G. Sandeep, works at the office of the Mandal Agriculture Officer in Marripeda. According to ACB, he demanded the money from the complainant to forward the compensation file of the complainant’s late father to higher officials for approval.
Acting on the complaint, ACB officials set up a trap and caught Sandeep while receiving the bribe. They seized the tainted money and launched further legal proceedings.

The ACB appealed to citizens to report any instance of bribery by government employees. People can call the toll-free number 1064 or message WhatsApp 9440446106.
Additionally, reports can be filed through the Telangana ACB Facebook page or the official website acb.telangana.gov.in. Officials confirmed that the identity of the complainant will remain confidential.
