Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid rich tributes to Savitribai Phule on her birth anniversary. He described her as India’s first woman teacher. According to him, she dedicated her life to women’s education and social equality.
The Chief Minister said Savitribai Phule used education as a weapon against discrimination. He noted that her sacrifices continued to guide society. On the occasion, he also extended Women Teachers’ Day greetings to women teachers. He said they carried forward her ideals by spreading knowledge and values.
Savitribai Phule remembered by Deputy CM and Minister
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka paid heartfelt tributes to Savitribai Phule. Recalling her contribution, he said she laid the foundation for women’s education in India. He added that the country observed her birth anniversary as Women Teachers’ Day.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also paid tributes to Savitribai. He said she worked tirelessly for girls’ education. He added that her efforts helped remove social evils through reform.
