HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu made sensational allegations regarding the Lagacharla incident, claiming that some BRS leaders were behind the controversy. He stated that during the previous government’s tenure, large-scale land encroachments took place, and now that the Congress government is exposing these irregularities, certain individuals are trying to divert attention.
Sridhar Babu accused opposition leaders of misleading the public by giving the Lagacharla incident a political angle. He emphasized that the Congress government is committed to protecting farmers’ interests, and no injustice will be tolerated.
He further alleged that during the BRS regime, many farmers lost their lands due to illegal acquisitions. Now, when the government is taking corrective measures, the opposition is creating unnecessary controversy.
The minister assured that a thorough investigation into the Lagacharla incident is underway and that those found guilty will face strict action. He urged the public not to believe in rumors and to trust the government’s efforts to ensure justice.
Sridhar Babu also stated that the Congress government will not allow any misleading propaganda and will soon expose the real facts behind the controversy.
