BJP cannot come to power in Telangana, says Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao

Hyderabad: CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao on Monday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that the party was built on religious divisions and communal politics.

Addressing the Telangana State Council meeting at Makhdoom Bhavan in Hyderabad, he dismissed BJP leaders’ claims about expanding the party’s influence in Telangana.

According to him, the BJP may win a few seats in the state. However, it cannot come to power in Telangana.

He also said public dissatisfaction was growing against governments at both the state and national levels.

Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao outlines CPI election strategy

Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao called on CPI cadres to intensify their struggles on public issues.

Furthermore, he outlined the party’s strategy for the upcoming elections.

He said the CPI should prepare to contest at least five constituencies if an alliance materialises.

Alternatively, the party should be ready to contest a minimum of 15 constituencies on its own.

Additionally, he said the party had identified 40 strong constituencies across the state.

The CPI will organise special padayatras in those constituencies from August 6 to August 15.

According to him, the campaign will highlight the failures of both the Central and state governments, along with local issues.

Meanwhile, he announced a programme on June 4 against the alleged harassment of Professor Nageshwar.

He also said the party would organise a special programme on June 15 regarding the special revision of electoral rolls.

Furthermore, Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao announced that the CPI would organise a “Chalo Delhi” programme on September 28.
