Kukatpally MLA targets HYDRAA Commissioner over Sunnam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao targeted the HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath over alleged irregularities at Sunnam Cheruvu and accused him of acting like a Congress agent.

Addressing a press conference at his Kukatpally camp office on Tuesday, the BRS legislator questioned how HYDRAA officials could fence land at Sunnam Cheruvu while leaving five acres untouched. He asked on what basis the agency proceeded with selective action.

Krishna Rao alleged that the HYDRAA Commissioner was attempting to intimidate major builders in Hyderabad. He said the Commissioner did not respond even after he personally made a phone call.

The MLA stated that during the BRS tenure, areas around IDL, Maisamma Cheruvu and Sunnam Cheruvu witnessed development. However, he alleged that even basic amenities such as streetlights were not functioning in those areas now.

He announced that he would file a complaint against the HYDRAA Commissioner with Central Vigilance authorities and other senior central officials. At the same time, he said the BRS would cooperate with officials in matters of development.

However, he warned that the party would not tolerate action that harms the poor. Krishna Rao demanded that the government order a comprehensive inquiry into issues concerning Sunnam Cheruvu.
