KTR steps in to support family of sisters killed in Nirmal road accident

HYDERABAD: BRS working president and former minister K. T. Rama Rao has extended his full support to the family of two sisters who tragically died in a road accident near Armoor on Friday. The victims, Banavat Manjula and Banavat Ashwini, were returning home after appearing for the EAMCET exam when the mishap occurred.

The sisters, hailing from Lother Thanda in Pembi mandal of Nirmal district, lost their lives in what has been described as a deeply saddening incident. Upon learning that the victims’ father, Banavat Reddy, was working in Malaysia, KTR immediately took steps to facilitate his return to Telangana to be with his grieving family.

Following KTR’s instructions, BRS Khanaapur in-charge Bhookya Johnson Naik rushed to the Armoor Government Hospital late at night. He met the bereaved family, interacted with doctors, police, and officials to ensure that post-mortem procedures were completed without delay. He also oversaw the transport of the bodies to their native village for the final rites.

Speaking on the occasion, Johnson Naik said, “Manjula and Ashwini were bright students with a promising future. Their sudden demise is a heartbreaking loss to all of us. With their father away overseas, the family is facing immense emotional pain. Thanks to KTR’s swift intervention, arrangements for his return were made immediately.”

The local community and party leaders have praised KTR’s compassionate response and timely support during the tragedy.
