KTR meets corporators to frame GHMC council strategy

Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao meets corporators at Telangana Bhavan and set out the plan for tomorrow’s GHMC council meeting. As the BRS working president, he called for a unified and disciplined approach. Meanwhile, former ministers, MLAs, MLCs and other representatives from the GHMC area attended the session and contributed to the internal review.

During the briefing, he urged corporators to approach civic issues with clarity. He also explained the specific points they must raise in the council and stressed the need for coordinated action across divisions. Moreover, he underlined the importance of consistency in public engagement.

KTR acknowledged that the corporators completed ten years in office without attracting corruption allegations. Consequently, he said the party recognised their credibility. He further noted their service during the Covid-19 crisis and highlighted the pressure they handled during that period.

He remarked that corporators continued to raise civic complaints even after the party entered the opposition. Furthermore, this effort sustained public contact in Hyderabad. Their conduct in the recent Jubilee Hills election also drew praise, as he described their campaign as disciplined and responsible.

In addition, KTR assured every corporator who supported the party that more organisational roles would emerge. He encouraged them to treat the coming election as their own contest. According to him, the party could regain ground if they worked together with focus.

He added that women’s reservations and constituency reorganisation would expand political prospects. As a result, he asked corporators to prepare for the transition with a clear understanding of the upcoming changes.
