Hyderabad: BRS working president K. Tarakarama Rao expressed concern over the fertilizer shortage in Telangana, blaming both the state and central governments for the crisis.
In a social media post, KTR shared a photograph published in a local newspaper, showing a schoolboy missing classes to stand in line for fertilizer. He described the situation as “heartbreaking” and said farmers were being forced into long queues due to poor supply management.
Farmers pushed into endless queues amid fertilizer shortage
KTR alleged that the Congress-led state government and the BJP-led Union government had failed to ensure timely delivery of fertilizers. According to him, lakhs of farmers have been compelled to spend hours outside cooperative societies and fertilizer shops instead of working on their fields.
He emphasized that farmers deserved dignity and reliable access to agricultural inputs. The BRS leader accused both administrations of ignoring ground realities and letting farmers suffer daily hardships.
