KTR dares CM Revanth to prove housing claims, challenges with resignation offer

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday issued an open challenge to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of demolishing thousands of homes during his rule while failing to construct a single new house. In a televised interview, KTR said he would resign if Revanth could prove that even one house was built under his two-year administration.

KTR also dismissed the Chief Minister’s claim of attracting ₹3 lakh crore in investments to Telangana. Citing the state government’s own website, he said only ₹19,000 crore worth of investments had materialised. He called Revanth’s figures “blatant lies.”

KTR dares Revanth, mocks development, housing and road works

Mocking the Congress government’s performance, KTR said the BRS had built 42 flyovers, while the current government had failed to even fill 42 potholes. He ridiculed Revanth’s recent claim about digging wells beneath roads, saying, “We are still searching for where they even dug.”

He also accused the government of targeting poor families by demolishing their homes, while sparing powerful individuals. “Hydra never touches the homes of the Chief Minister’s brother or Congress leaders,” KTR alleged, referring to the demolition wing.

The remarks signal intensifying tensions between BRS and Congress as both parties prepare for future electoral contests.
