HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Tarakarama Rao criticised the Congress party over claims related to the farmer loan waiver scheme in Telangana.
Referring to comments made by Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, KTR accused Congress leaders of spreading misinformation.
Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha recently acknowledged that while Rs. 2.81 crore in loans had been waived for 345 farmers in Neradigunta, another 127 farmers were still awaiting relief. This admission sparked a reaction from KTR, who took to the social media platform X to respond sharply.
KTR questioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, asking, “Will you apologise to farmers in Kondareddipalli or Kodangal by bowing to the ground?” He further accused Congress of misleading farmers, calling the party’s loan waiver promises “pure lies.” KTR added that the farmer declaration by Congress was a “hoax” and that the party’s governance in Telangana had been a “curse” for the farming community.
Highlighting discrepancies in Congress’ claims, KTR stated, “It’s not us, but your own cabinet colleague who revealed the truth about farmer loan waivers.” He demanded accountability from Congress leaders, urging them to clarify their stance on the issue.
