KTR attacks Revanth Reddy over job promises, alleges betrayal of unemployed

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over alleged failure to keep job promises.

In a series of posts on social media platform X, KTR said anger among unemployed youth was rising sharply. He blamed the Chief Minister for what he described as withdrawal from another election guarantee.

According to KTR, Revanth Reddy promised two lakh government jobs in the first year of his term. Later, he alleged, the Chief Minister diluted the commitment by calling it a five-year target.

KTR said the shift triggered widespread resentment among the youth.

He recalled that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had earlier said the government should be removed if it failed to deliver the promise. KTR claimed that strict implementation would have collapsed the present government within a year.

Turning to recruitment figures, KTR alleged that the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters for about 65,000 jobs initiated under the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government.

Later, he claimed, the government stopped fresh recruitment entirely. As a result, he termed the present situation as “recruitment zero” in Telangana.

KTR said the BRS government had already filled around 1.65 lakh posts. He accused Revanth Reddy of spreading false claims to gain power.

Despite assurances, he alleged, the government failed to issue even 10,000 new job notifications. Not only unemployed youth, he said, but their parents were also expressing anger.

He further accused the government of shelving the job calendar. At the same time, he alleged, the administration focused on scams instead of public welfare.

According to KTR, retracting promises would not erase public memory. He said the people of Telangana would hold the Chief Minister accountable.

Even an apology would not suffice, KTR warned. He claimed unemployed youth across the State, from Adilabad to Ashok Nagar crossroads, were prepared for protest.

On farmer welfare, KTR alleged repeated delays in Rythu Bandhu payments. He said nearly 70 lakh farmers suffered due to the lapses.

He claimed farmers who lived with dignity under former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had fallen back into debt.

KTR also accused the government of failing to provide promised financial assistance to women. He described the six guarantees as deceptive.

Concluding his remarks, KTR said the collective strength of Telangana’s youth would soon expose the Congress government’s true nature.
