Hyderabad: Representatives of ISKCON invited Minister for Forest, Environment and Endowments Konda Surekha to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the ISKCON Cyberabad temple in Nalagandla on March 8.

The ceremony will mark the foundation of the new temple and a Maha Vantashala designed to provide food to 1 lakh people. Organisers said the project aims to combine spiritual activity with large-scale social service.

They acknowledged the Minister’s role in securing land for the temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. According to ISKCON representatives, her support enabled them to organise the groundbreaking ceremony without delay. As a result, preparations for the March 8 event have gathered pace.

Konda Surekha appreciated ISKCON’s contribution to spiritual outreach and welfare initiatives. She highlighted the organisation’s food distribution programmes for the underprivileged. Moreover, she said such initiatives strengthen community support systems.
