Man crushed to death while boarding Konark Express at Warangal station

Hyderabad: A 50-year-old man died in a railway accident at Warangal station on Wednesday morning. He slipped while boarding the Konark Express and fell under the moving train.

Warangal GRP Head Constable S. Ravinder Reddy said the man was trying to board the Khammam-bound Konark Express. As the train pulled away from the platform, he lost his balance and fell onto the tracks. The wheels ran over him, killing him instantly and severing his body at the waist.

Police seek help in identifying deceased

The man wore a white and light blue full-sleeve shirt with brown stripes and light green trousers. He carried only a railway ticket dated Tuesday, showing travel from Khammam to Warangal. Police found no identification documents on him.

Railway officials filed a complaint, and GRP registered a case. Police moved the body to the MGM Hospital mortuary for preservation.
