Hyderabad: Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy sanctioned ₹55,000 to support an engineering student’s education following her father’s death. He also assured the student of continued financial assistance until she completed her B.Tech degree.
The Minister extended financial aid to student Sahithi, a resident of Jammikunta in Karimnagar district. Her family faced severe financial difficulties after her father recently died of a heart attack.
Sahithi was pursuing a B.Tech degree but struggled to meet her college fee expenses because of the family’s financial condition. Senior journalist Satyanarayana brought her situation to the Minister’s attention and sought assistance for her education.
After learning about the family’s difficulties, Komatireddy instructed his office to assess their financial circumstances. He also personally spoke with the family to understand their situation and immediate educational expenses. Subsequently, the Minister sanctioned ₹55,000 to clear Sahithi’s immediate college fee requirements.
