Hyderabad: BJP state president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday termed the ongoing phone tapping case in Telangana as an extremely serious issue, accusing the previous BRS government of gross misuse of power.
Addressing BJP workers at the party’s state office, Kishan Reddy said the illegal surveillance extended to political leaders, High Court judges, businesspersons, celebrities and even staff and social media team members of the BJP state unit.
He alleged that despite the gravity of the case, the current Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lacked the political will to conduct an impartial investigation. “When even the Chief Minister admits that no one trusts his government, it reflects the damage caused by both Congress and BRS,” he said.
Kishan Reddy accused the Congress and BRS of acting in collusion to block BJP’s rise in the state. “These two parties are enacting a political drama together. It is part of a coordinated effort to stop BJP’s momentum, which is gaining strength through public welfare work,” he said.
He urged BJP leaders and workers to expose what he called the “true faces” of both BRS and Congress before the public. He also directed party ranks to intensify campaigns against the Congress government, calling out the unfulfilled “six guarantees” and “420 promises.”
He said the party had reorganised committees at the district, mandal, and village levels and asked cadres to prepare for a strong campaign with renewed energy and grassroots mobilisation.
