Congress MP Kiran Kumar Reddy seeks debate on Pahalgam, Manipur, voter fraud

Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday demanded that Parliament debate the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and a string of internal and international issues during the ongoing monsoon session.

Speaking to the media, Reddy pointed out that this is the first Parliament session since the Pahalgam incident and said his party would press for discussion on the matter. He also raised concerns over repeated claims by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement, alleging it was brokered on his directive.

“Trump continues to boast that the LoC ceasefire was signed because of his instructions. The Prime Minister and relevant ministers must clarify,” Reddy said, questioning why India was being portrayed as having taken orders from a foreign leader. He demanded that the Centre issue a rebuttal and the opposition receive a formal explanation.

Reddy also flagged alleged irregularities in voter registration during the Maharashtra elections, saying Congress would confront the Election Commission over transparency concerns. He added that his party would seek debate on the situation in Manipur and Jammu & Kashmir as well.
