Hyderabad: Senior Congress leaders today inspected LB Stadium ahead of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s visit scheduled for July 4. The visit is tied to a state-level meeting of village unit presidents.

Hanumantha Rao, Khairatabad DCC president Rohin Reddy, SAT chairman Shivasena Reddy, and minority residential school vice-chairman Faheem Qureshi.

The team reviewed logistical arrangements including stage setup, VIP entry points, parking zones, and crowd movement controls. Officials were instructed to ensure smooth access for attendees without disruptions.

Congress meet

Speaking to reporters, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said Kharge will address Congress office-bearers across village, mandal, and district levels. Over 25,000 party workers, including state executive members and affiliated bodies, are expected to participate.

Goud said Kharge’s speech would focus on opposing what he termed as fascist governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also referenced recent remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad.

“During conflict with Pakistan, you told Trump and stopped the war midway. But when our citizens are part of a democratic left movement, you refuse dialogue and resort to force,” Goud remarked.
