HYDERABAD: BRS working president K T Rama Rao confirmed that party president and Leader of Opposition K Chandrashekar Rao will attend the Assembly Budget Session starting Wednesday. He stated that KCR would be present during the Governor’s address on the first day of the session and would continue to participate in further proceedings.
Speaking informally to the media after BRS candidate Dr Shravan filed his nomination, KTR remarked that, as a son, he personally felt KCR should avoid attending the session. He alleged that the ruling Congress lacked the ability to counter KCR effectively and that the Assembly proceedings would be dominated by meaningless speeches from Congress ministers and MLAs.
KTR further announced that BRS would organize a massive public meeting in April to mark the party’s foundation day. Warangal is being considered as the venue due to its central location and better transport facilities for people across the state. However, he clarified that the final decision on the event would be taken by KCR.
