KCR hands over B-form to BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha

Hyderabad: BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday handed over the official B-form to Maganti Sunitha Gopinath, confirming her as the party’s candidate for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election on November 11.

He also gave her a cheque of ₹40 lakh on behalf of the party to meet election expenses. The gesture formally marked the launch of her campaign for the high-stakes bypoll.

Members of the late Maganti Gopinath’s family, including his son and daughters, attended the event. Several senior BRS leaders were also present, among them former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Padma Rao Goud, MLAs Kalelu Venkatesh and Mutha Gopal, and former MLA Nalamotu Bhaskar Rao.

Their participation signalled the party’s strong support for Sunitha as she seeks to retain the seat once held by her late husband.
