KCR extends Diwali greetings, urges safe celebrations

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) extended Diwali greetings to the people of the state, wishing them prosperity and joy.

KCR said the festival of lights should fill every household with happiness and success. He hoped that the festival would dispel darkness from people’s lives and bring brightness and peace. The BRS chief urged everyone to celebrate Diwali safely, ensuring a joyous and festive atmosphere at home without any accidents.

KCR reminded that Diwali marks the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Across India, people celebrate the festival by wearing new clothes, preparing traditional sweets, bursting fireworks, and lighting diyas that illuminate homes and streets. Worship of Goddess Lakshmi on the day of Diwali remains the central ritual, symbolising wealth and prosperity.
