KCR concludes 50-minute Kaleshwaram inquiry, submits detailed report to commission

Hyderabad: BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) wrapped up his high-stakes appearance before the Kaleshwaram Commission on Wednesday, after fielding questions for nearly 50 minutes from Commission Chairman Justice P.C. Ghose.

Inside the packed hearing room at BRKR Bhavan, KCR handed over a detailed written report addressing various facets of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. He also delivered a PowerPoint presentation outlining the project’s design, construction, and administrative decisions. Sources said KCR furnished comprehensive documentation to back his answers, leaving no question from the commission unanswered.

Kaleshwaram inquiry

As the session drew to a close, KCR made his way out of the building, where a sea of BRS supporters had gathered to catch a glimpse of their leader. Before getting into his vehicle, he paused briefly to greet the crowd, joined by senior BRS leader Harish Rao.

Outside BRKR Bhavan, the atmosphere was electric. Cries of “Jai KCR” and “Jai Telangana” rang out as party workers and supporters rallied in a show of strength and solidarity. The crowd had started assembling hours earlier, transforming the area into a political flashpoint amid the ongoing Kaleshwaram inquiry.

With the hearing concluded, all eyes now turn to the commission’s next steps, as KCR’s testimony marks a critical juncture in the probe into the state’s most ambitious irrigation project.
