Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi leader K. Kavitha led a protest at Gun Park on Wednesday. She demanded that the Congress government cancel the Group 1 exam and deliver justice to job seekers. She also said the government ignored serious mistakes during the exam process and betrayed unemployed youth.
Telangana Jagruthi protest Group 1 exam: Kavitha blames Congress
Many Jagruthi workers and Group 1 aspirants joined the dharna in support of the unemployed. Kavitha said the event aimed to encourage candidates who felt let down by the exam process. “We came here to give courage to Group 1 aspirants,” she said. “The government has done nothing even after our demand to cancel the exam.”
Moreover, she accused the Congress of favouring its leaders’ families. “They are giving jobs to their relatives instead of genuine candidates. Rahul Gandhi came to Hyderabad, sought votes from the jobless, and later cheated them,” she said.
Kavitha demands re-exam and quick action
Kavitha urged the state to cancel the current exam and hold a new one. She also pointed out that the job calendar was still not released. “The government talks about old jobs but fails to create new ones,” she said. “Officials conducted the Group 1 exam in a wrong way, and we will fight until it is cancelled.”
In addition, she called on Telangana’s educated community to speak up. “Even Professor Haragopal should comment on this issue. If required, I will meet him personally,” she said.
Telangana Jagruthi plans more protests across Telangana
Kavitha said the unemployed trusted Rahul Gandhi’s words and brought the Congress to power. However, she warned that the same youth would soon remove this government for betraying them.
Furthermore, she said Jagruthi would organise round-table meetings to continue the agitation. “We want the government to cancel the faulty recruitment and hold a fair exam again. It must also obey Supreme Court orders and cancel illegal jobs given under the Presidential Order,” she said.
