Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti president and former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his Davos tour, questioning the government’s investment claims.
The Chief Minister-led delegation left for Davos to attend the World Economic Forum 2026 meet. The summit will continue until January 23. The government said the visit aimed to attract investments to Telangana.
Reacting to the tour, Kavitha said the Davos visit was limited to “boarding one flight and returning on another.” In a post on X, she asked what the government had actually delivered to Telangana in two years.
Kavitha demands white paper on MoUs and jobs
Kavitha recalled that the government claimed ₹40,232 crore in investments during the 2024 financial year. She said it also projected ₹1.78 lakh crore in 2025 from Davos summits. She further referred to the Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad, where the government announced ₹5.75 lakh crore in investment commitments.
The former MLC questioned how many MoUs signed at Davos and the Telangana Rising summit had resulted in functioning industries. She also asked how many jobs these investments had created.
Kavitha demanded the release of a white paper. She sought details on realised investments, operational projects and employment numbers. She said the government must ensure transparency, especially after spending large sums of public money on global summits.
