Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha led a stir at Praja Bhavan on Tuesday, demanding that the Congress government fulfil its election guarantees made to women in Telangana.
The former MP reached Praja Bhavan with over 1,000 women and staged a sudden demonstration. She later met officials and submitted a memorandum seeking immediate implementation of pending promises.
Women participants raised slogans during the stir at Praja Bhavan and questioned the delay in delivering key assurances. They cited promises of 10 grams of gold for brides, electric scooters for students and ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance for women.

After submitting the memorandum, Kavitha urged the government to allocate funds in the upcoming Budget session. She said authorities must honour commitments made during the election campaign.
She also demanded that the government implement assurances given to anganwadi and Aasha workers across Telangana. According to her, the stir at Praja Bhavan reflected growing dissatisfaction among women over delayed welfare measures.
