Kavitha’s letter stirs political storm in Telangana, BJP’s Raghunandan Rao makes sharp remarks

Hyderabad: A letter penned by BRS MLC K. Kavitha has ignited political turbulence in Telangana, prompting sharp reactions across party lines. With speculation swirling over its implications, BJP’s Medak MP Raghunandan Rao has weighed in with a series of pointed remarks, accusing the BRS of descending into internal strife.

Addressing reporters on Thursday, Raghunandan questioned the intent behind Kavitha’s letter, asking whether it was meant for a political discussion or a family property dispute. He claimed the BRS has been embroiled in internal discord ever since former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao lost power, suggesting that the situation has evolved into a full-blown succession battle.

The BJP leader alleged that KTR and Harish Rao, two of the party’s senior figures, had joined forces to push Kavitha out of the BRS. Drawing a controversial parallel, he suggested that Kavitha could follow a path similar to that of Y.S. Sharmila and predicted she might eventually align with the Congress party.

Raghunandan further insinuated that Kavitha shared past political ties with current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, whom he described as “flint everything with her,” hinting at a potential rapprochement. Despite these developments, he asserted confidently that the BJP would form the next government in Telangana.

The comments have added fuel to the growing political drama in the state, as speculation mounts over the future direction of the BRS and Kavitha’s political positioning. (NSS)
