Hyderabad: A Karimnagar road accident killed a student and seriously injured two others at midnight. The students were reportedly returning to their private hostel in Thimmapur mandal.
According to locals, the students were staying at a private hostel in Thimmapur mandal centre. They reportedly went to a bakery near Sri Chaitanya Engineering College around midnight.
After buying food, the students began returning to their hostel. Meanwhile, an unknown car reportedly hit them while they were on their way back.
The collision left two students seriously injured. Another student, identified by police as Bhavani from Sircilla, died at the scene.
At the same time, a car owner travelling with his family noticed the injured students. He immediately used his car to take them to Karimnagar Government Hospital for treatment.
Police later identified the deceased student as Bhavani, who was from Sircilla. The source also reported that three other students were with Bhavani when the accident occurred.
