Hyderabad: Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathy underwent surgery at the government hospital on Sunday. The procedure followed complaints of sinus-related complications and severe headaches.
She was admitted in the morning. Doctors said an enlarged nasal bone was identified during the initial examination. They recommended surgery.
The ENT team at Karimnagar General Hospital performed the operation. Officials confirmed it was successful.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha responded to the development with public appreciation. In a post on X, he noted that the Collector had opted for treatment in a government facility—a decision he described as commendable.
He said Satpathy had been experiencing symptoms for some time. The minister congratulated the doctors for the successful surgery and conveyed wishes for her recovery.
