KTR blames Congress for not lifting water from Kannepalli Pump House

Hyderabad: BRS Working President KTR alleged that the Congress government is failing to use water flowing at Kannepalli Pump House. In a post on X on Sunday, he said Telangana is facing the adverse impact of “El Congo” and not El Niño. He described “El Congo” as inept Congress rule.

KTR shared photos that he said show 20,000 cusecs of water flowing at the pump house yesterday. He said the pump house is part of the mammoth Kaleshwaram Project.

BRS team visits Kannepalli Pump House

According to KTR, a delegation of BRS MLAs and leaders visited Kannepalli Pump House. He said the visit aimed to expose the failure of the Congress government in using water that is readily available.

Further, KTR said Hyderabad needs only about 1,000 cusecs of water to meet its daily drinking water needs. However, he alleged that the Revanth Reddy government refuses to lift water from Kannepalli. He claimed the government is doing so just to deny credit to the KCR-era project.

KTR also said what is unfolding in Telangana is not a natural calamity. Instead, he alleged it is the result of a deliberate conspiracy by Revanth Reddy.
