Jagga Reddy’s outburst draws fire from Etela: “I fight warriors, not pennies”

Hyderabad: A full-blown political brawl erupted Monday after TPCC working president Jagga Reddy threatened to strip Etela Rajender in public if he continued speaking against Congress and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Etela, the BJP MP from Malkajgiri, fired back with a sharp counter, accusing the Congress government of betraying the poor, crushing dissent, and turning pre-election promises into lies.

Speaking to the media, Etela reminded that Congress came to power on a wave of hope but had already disillusioned the people within just 16 months. “They said Telangana was a rich state—couldn’t even waive ₹1 lakh in farm loans,” he said. “KCR took reckless loans to fund Rythu Bandhu. With my experience as finance minister, I said the six guarantees were impossible. Now that’s becoming obvious.”

Etela recalled Revanth’s own words before the polls: “He said people only like lies. Now every lie he spoke has turned into truth—people are watching.”

Turning to recent evictions, Etela lashed out at the CM for bulldozing homes in Hyderabad. “When questioned, this same Revanth says no matter who objects, he’ll roll in bulldozers. And when I asked questions, I was branded a psycho, not even a human,” he said.

Responding to Jagga Reddy’s threat, Etela didn’t hold back. “When I fight, I fight warriors—not spare change. These are Congress street-corner types spouting loose talk to distract from failure,” he said.

He claimed the public handed power to Congress expecting change, but instead, “they’ve just moved from the pan into the fire.”
