Hyderabad: A major road accident occurred in Nalgonda district early Saturday morning when an Innova car overturned on the Gundrampalli national highway in Chityala mandal.
Police said the speeding vehicle lost control, hit the divider, and flipped several times before coming to a halt. There were eight people in the car at the time of the accident. All of them escaped unhurt, officials confirmed.
Innova catches fire after a collision on the Nalgonda highway
The impact caused the car’s engine to catch fire, completely gutting the vehicle within minutes. The Innova lay overturned across the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway, disrupting traffic for some time.
Police rushed to the spot, moved the wreckage to the roadside, and worked to clear the traffic jam. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway into the cause of the mishap.
