Hyderabad: An unidentified woman’s body was recovered from a lake in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Ranga Reddy district on Saturday, prompting police to launch an investigation into her identity and the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to police, local residents spotted the Ibrahimpatnam lake woman body floating in the Pedda Cheruvu at the Ibrahimpatnam mandal headquarters. They immediately alerted the police after noticing the body on the water.
Police reached the spot without delay and retrieved the body from the lake. Officers conducted a preliminary examination before shifting the body to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police said the identity of the deceased woman had not been established. Meanwhile, a case was registered, and efforts began to identify her.
