Large turnout in Hyderabad for HYDRAA driver jobs under new recruitment drive

Hyderabad: A large number of young men from across Telangana arrived in Hyderabad today to apply for driver positions under HYDRAA, the agency set up to safeguard the city’s lakes, ponds, and government lands.

HYDRAA recently issued a notification to fill 200 driver posts on an outsourcing basis. Applications are being accepted over two days starting Monday. The opportunity drew a strong response, with hundreds reaching the city to submit their forms.

What set this drive apart is a specific eligibility clause: preference will be given to candidates who narrowly missed qualifying marks in the 2022–23 police constable recruitment. Only those who were officially listed in the State Police Recruitment Board’s exam reports but fell short in the final cut-off are eligible to apply.

Officials said only applications from such candidates, verified through recruitment board data, are being accepted for the HYDRAA driver jobs.
