Hyderabad: With Ramzan approaching, Hyderabad’s Charminar Zone police held a coordination meeting with the Central Peace Committee on Saturday to review festival preparations and strengthen communal harmony in the old city. The meeting was chaired by Charminar Zone DCP Khare Kiran, IPS, at Sanjary Convention.
The session focused on key security measures for the upcoming festive period, especially in areas known for dense gatherings and religious observances.
Hyderabad police peace committee outlines Ramzan security plan
During the meeting, officials discussed detailed arrangements for Ramzan-related activities, including crowd control and smooth facilitation of religious events. DCP Khare Kiran stressed the importance of public cooperation and coordination between the police and community leaders to maintain peace.
He instructed officers to tighten preventive surveillance, monitor sensitive zones, and control traffic flow during peak hours. Emphasis was placed on vigilance to deter criminal activity during the festive period.
Peace Committee members pledged their full support to the department. The DCP appealed to all stakeholders to jointly uphold the spirit of unity and mutual respect during the holy month.
