HYDERABAD: A young woman was killed on the spot and a man seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on the service road in Koheda under the Abdullapurmet Police Station limits.
According to police, the victim, identified as 19-year-old Spandana, was riding pillion on a motorbike when a speeding Skoda car hit the two-wheeler and fled the scene.
The impact of the collision was so severe that Spandana died instantly. The rider of the bike, a young man named Sai, sustained serious injuries.
The car driver fled with the vehicle immediately after the accident. Police chased the car, caught the driver, and seized the vehicle involved in the accident. Shifted the injured to the hospital.
