Himachal CM to attend Telangana Rising Summit in February

Hyderabad: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu assured that he would attend the Telangana Rising Summit, which the Telangana government planned as a major global event. He gave the assurance after Telangana SC, ST and Disabled Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar met him in Himachal Pradesh on Friday to invite him for the summit scheduled for February 8 and 9.

Sukhu described the Telangana Development Summit concept as an impressive initiative. He welcomed the detailed briefing offered during the meeting and noted that the format aimed to showcase the state’s development agenda. The minister stressed that the government expected strong national participation. He also underlined that senior leaders were reaching out to several states to ensure broad representation.

At the meeting, both sides discussed Telangana’s plan to use the platform for policy exchange. They also highlighted the proposed sessions focused on governance and investment avenues. In addition, the minister explained that the summit would feature interactions between key officials. Sukhu responded positively and agreed to join the event. He said that the idea matched the need for effective state-level cooperation.

Telangana Rising Summit to draw national participation

The Telangana Rising Summit team outlined the expected outcomes during the discussion. They said that the event was intended to position the state as a centre for collaborative development. Moreover, the minister noted that invitations were being delivered personally to several chief ministers. He added that this approach aimed to strengthen engagement across states. The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister reiterated his acceptance of the invitation and appreciated the summit’s objectives.
